PRIVACY POLICY

We do not collect your data. There is no account to create, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no server of ours involved. Your family's food record lives on your devices and, if you turn on Family Sync, in your own private iCloud — where we cannot see it.

WHO WE ARE

Operation: Solid Food is published by Forge Nine Labs LLC. In this policy, "the app" means Operation: Solid Food on iPhone and iPad, and "the Command Center" means the companion web page at command.solidfood.app.

WHAT THE APP STORES

The app records what you enter about your child's eating: the child's name or nickname, birth date, the foods you log, how many times each was tried, reactions such as favorite or avoid, your own notes, and the dates of those entries. It also stores your chosen unit name and app preferences.

All of it is written to storage on your own device. The app has no backend of ours, so none of what you type is ever transmitted to us. (Apple sends us aggregate App Store statistics about the app itself — never your record. See what Apple tells us.)

FAMILY SYNC AND ICLOUD

Family Sync is off unless you switch it on. When you do, your record is stored in your own private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit and synchronised between your devices and anyone you explicitly invite.

• Apple processes and stores that data under Apple's privacy policy. We are not a party to it and have no access.
• Sharing is by invitation only. Only Apple IDs you add can open the record; an invite link on its own grants nothing.
• You can revoke someone's access at any time from Family Sync, and it takes effect immediately.
• The Command Center reads and writes the same private iCloud data directly from your browser after you sign in with your Apple Account. It does not route through any server we operate.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

• We do not operate servers that receive your data.
• We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are none in the app, and no code of ours reports on what you do.
• We do not create accounts, and we never ask for an email address or password.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. There is nothing for us to sell.

CHILDREN'S INFORMATION

The app is designed for a parent or caregiver to use. Information about a child is entered by the adult using the app and stays under that adult's control, on their device and in their iCloud. Because we receive nothing you enter, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

YOUR CONTROL AND DELETION

• Export your full record at any time from the app as a JSON file, and import it back later.
• Delete your data by removing an operative in the app, turning off Family Sync, or deleting the app. To remove synced data, delete the app's data from iCloud in your device settings.
• Because we hold nothing, there is no deletion request to send us — and no copy of your record for us to return.

WHAT APPLE TELLS US

One honest exception to the above, and it is Apple's, not ours. Every app on the App Store gives its developer a statistics dashboard in App Store Connect, and there is no switch to turn it off:

• Store figures — how many people viewed the listing and downloaded the app — are counted by Apple for everyone.
• Usage figures — sessions, active devices, crashes — reach us only from people who left Share With App Developers on, under Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Analytics & Improvements.

Apple aggregates all of it before we see it, so none of it identifies you, and none of it contains anything you typed into the app. We are telling you because "no analytics of any kind" would have been a convenient sentence and a false one.

PURCHASES

If you buy the app, that transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We receive sales reporting from Apple that does not identify you personally. We never see payment details. The app supports App Store Family Sharing: one purchase can be shared with your Apple Family group, handled by Apple like any other purchase.

OUTSIDE LINKS

This site and the app link to our community Discord. Discord is a separate service with its own privacy policy — nothing from your food record is shared with it, and joining is entirely optional.

CHANGES

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
