For the screen the household already walks past — the fridge panel, a kitchen tablet on its stand, the desktop monitor in the den. Big, glanceable, always up: the roster, the map, the streak, readable from across the room without anyone unlocking anything.
Phones have the app. This is for the shared surfaces — one sign-in per display, and it stays signed in. Same rule as the section above: that sign-in is Apple's, not ours, and the board talks straight to your iCloud with nothing of ours in the middle. No install, no account to create.
One honest limit. If your Apple ID uses Advanced Data Protection, Apple blocks all web access to your iCloud data — including this board. Sign-in will fail, and that is Apple's policy, not something we can fix. The phone app is unaffected. And please — don't switch off Advanced Data Protection just for this. It guards far more of your life than a food board, and the app and family sync work fully with it on.
